Introducing Our Heartland Memorial Space
As you can imagine, sanctuary life means experiencing both great joy and profound loss. We are honored to share that we have begun work on a new memorial space at our sanctuary to help us remember and celebrate the special beings who have touched our lives.
Now, you can honor the cherished memory of loved ones and animal companions with a Memorial Bench. Each Leopold-style bench (named after conservationist Aldo Leopold) is handcrafted from sustainable wood and includes a personalized tribute plate. Benches will be placed in ideal spots around the memorial space, set against the serene backdrop of nature.
IMPORTANT: Please read all instructions at the bottom of the page carefully.
Engraved Tribute Nameplate
The 8"x2" brass nameplate can include up to 5 lines of text (160 characters maximum, including spaces). Tributes can be made "in honor of" or "in memory of".
Notification of Bench Placement
The construction of our new memorial space is still a work in progress (with hopes of being completed early next year or sooner!). We will construct benches quarterly and will contact you once your memorial bench is ready to be placed in the space.
Bench construction and placement will start in early 2025.
Important Note on Delivery
Please make sure to select Pickup at the Stoughton Sanctuary option, as this item WILL NOT be shipped to your address. All benches will stay at the sanctuary. We will contact you when your bench is ready to be placed.
